All about Bid the Dream

Bid the Dream is a unique concept. It is the opportunity for you to bid for your dream, live the legend and be a part of a global movement that seeks to harness the power of sport to inspire hope and opportunity to thousands of children around the world.

Olympic legend and Laureus Academy member, Sebastian Coe, launched the Bid the Dream auctions at the London Stock Exchange along with sprinter Michael Johnson, All Blacks rugby star Sean Fitzpatrick, and ICAP Eletronic Broking Chief Executive Officer Jack Jeffery. The Bid the Dream auctions aim to encourage registered users to bid for a day with their sporting hero to support Laureus Sport For Good projects around the world.

Bid the Dream is the online showcase of the Laureus Collection, a collection of experiences offered by the members of the Laureus World Sports Academy. It provides the chance for you to bid for your dream and live the experience with your family, friends and clients.

Your bid will benefit the work of the Laureus World Sports Academy - The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. This supports more than 140,000 children around the world through dozens of projects extending to every continent. It offers hope and inspiration through sport to children who can only dream of a better future, living in some of the world's most socially deprived areas. The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation does not seek to identify or train future champions. It is not a talent finding initiative. The Foundation uses sport to bring children together in a caring environment. The projects help to break down racial barriers, defy social obstacles, inspire, care and support. Above all the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation gives deprived children the chance to live as they should... as children.
